Given recent events, this one may get a limited run. Of course, the reality of the matter is that this film isn't actually controversial, and it would be a shame if it suffered a straight-to-disc fate. (Think Southland Tales.) Alas, racists continue to kill our buzz, and my comments of indictment are not the refelctions of 40ozRobot.com or their writers (except me). Nazi punks (and Nazi neighborhood watch; you know who you are) f*ck off.
The sci-fi comedy Neighborhood Watch pulls together a sure-fire comedic cast, telling a tale of bored housedad's who join up to escape their families. Things turn hairy as an alien attack ensues, and the aforementioned dad's are forced to defend the entire planet.
The all-star cast includes the perennial regulars: Jonah Hill (Superbad), Ben Stiller (Zoolander) and Vince Vaughn (Wedding Crashers), pulling the comic genius of Welshman Richar Ayode (The I.T. Crowd) and Rosemary DeWitt (United States of Tara) in tow.
It's already been pulled from Florida theaters, in the wake of the Trayvon Martin murder, so I wish you all the luck in the world.
