The Yeah Yeah Yeahs released their new single, Sacrilege, for their upcoming album, Mosquito, coming out April 16th. LCD Soundsystem's James Murphy, TV on the Radio's Dave Sitek, and Nick Launay have a hand in the production of it. Get excited! April cannot come soon enough.

Two years ago I made a playlist in honor of Valentine's Day when I was writing on my personal blog. I actually enjoy making playlists because it pulls music from different genres and brings them to a totally different level. It's actually a pretty good playlist, which you can check out below: This year for Valentine's Day, I got the sudden urge to make a playlist again. Partly due to finding Jenny Lewis's Valentine's Day playlist, which can be found here. I really had a lot of fun with this one and pulled some older songs as well as some (more)

D-Mad's Year End List: 2012 Edition

So it’s that time of year again where we tell you what we listen to and compile our favorites. I have to say (like I said last year) this list is hard to compile, and I barely just got it in. I was talking about it a little bit with The Doc about it and it is probably due to our standards being so high as we dive more and more into this. A lot of good music has been released this year, and from what I have been reading about in terms of next year, a lot more great (more)

2012 Treasure Island Music Festival Lineup

Looks like another decent year on the island in October. Mind you this is one of the few festivals where you have the opportunity to see every single band on the lineup perform. Personally I’m seriously contemplating Sunday.

D-Mad's Favorite Albums (So Far)...

Each year, this list is getting harder and harder for me to put together. I'm not sure if it's just really good music being put out there, or if it’s me being exposed to more artists, or a combination of the two. I was in more disbelief because I was still under the impression that his cancer was very treatable. I didn’t think we were going to lose him so quickly.    For me, the Beastie Boys were a band I grew up with. I remember hearing songs like “Brass Monkey,” and “No Sleep til Brooklyn,” and completely loving everything about them. I have a strong tie to “Intergalactic,” (more)
